Hi,

I'm at Birmingham Uni doing my dissertation on the effects of advertsing (mainly online and on television) to children aged 8-12.

I have a lot of information from the childs perspective, but was wondering what parents, particularly mothers, thought of the issue.

Do you believe that advertsing is aimed to increase 'pester power' or create brand loyalty from a young age or do you believe that ads are useful to help a child's decision-making process. Is there anything being advertsised on TV or the net at the moment that you specifically disagree with?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Many thanks
Natasha

Sorry not a parent so can't help. But perhaps putting this on a more activie topic such as Chat or AIBU would get more response
