My Mum has the Ikea one at her house for when me or my sister visit with our babies. It's very basic but perfectly adequate and sturdy enough.

Just watch for mattress sizes. It's not a standard size AFAIR so you might have to look round for a mattress that fits properly if you don't want/can't get an ikea one.

Ikea is the only place I know of. You can get made to measure mattresses off ebay.

Kiddicare do some what they call space saver cots

their mattresses seem ok too

We liked our Ikea one - don't know if they are still the same - no drop sides but you can adjust the mattress level as the baby gets older. It has done at least four children to my knowledge.

We had a cosatto (close to me??) cot with a drop side (and variable height mattress) that pushed right up next to our bed. Dd stayed there until she was eight months and now sleeps in it in her own room. We bought it as it was narrower than a standard cot and I definitely knew I wanted her as close to us as possible while not actually being in our bed - not much room at the side of the bed either. Our sheets are from ikea so I assume it's the same size as the ikea cot. When we bought the mattress it was labelled as 'continental' size so I guess if you googled that you might find more options too. HTH

we have a saplings one, was narrow as not much room. Can highly recommend.

we have the leksvig from Ikea and its great, sturdy and does the job perfectly well. You can get a storage drawer to go under it too. It has two base heights and you can take off one of the sides and put on the "bed" side when they get too big for it (which at 19m DS is maybe just starting to be).
