Hundreds, nay thousands of words on motivation by wednesday & I haven't got any

Just had my extension refused

Don't start with the introduction. Start with the first chapter, straight into argument/explication.

Have you got a main point to make? I often say that if you write an essay, and I asked you to throw it all away except for one sentence, what would that one sentence be? This is your proposition and should go at the end of your intro. Then carry on from there.

Set a timer for 10 minutes and promise yourself you'll stop after that time. Just do one 10 minutes at a time.

Have an imaginary arguer sitting on your shoulder.. Imagine someone on mn has told you the theory is crap and try to explain it to them, only you get a longer time and no-one calls you a name :)

Glad I am not the only one procrastinating about doing my essay. Luckily mine isn't due in 'til Thursday, and I have STARTED it - in fact I have done nearly 3500 words, and only the theory to practice (300 words approx) and conclusion (250) to go. Shame it is supposed to be a 2500 word essay though.... :s
