hi there, me again!!

i really need some help with how to get my 7 month old ds sleeping better.

at the mo he's in my bed because he was stirring and waking and grizzling so much in his cot that i found it easier to see to him when he was next to me than in a different room. but now he's awful at sleeping all night, very restless, rolling onto his front, grizzling. i just dont know what to do?

do i put him in his cot and if so what do i do when he starts grizzling? leave him? im not a fan of cry it out but dont know how i am ever gonna get more than a few hours sleep (i had 1 hour last night) and im just sick of feeling half dead (and looking it too)

Hi Pip, no advice but I really feel for you. My DD 6.5 months is similar. Obsessed with rolling around the cot, waking 6 times a night. Have made appointment with sleep consultant, tried NCSS, we did get her sleeping through for a week (we were delighted) but now she is back to her old ways again, don't know why, but I am a complete wreck and it's ruining our lives. Can't wait to speak to the consultant tomorrow, am just praying that we can sort this out as it's making me feel suicidal at points.

Pip, I spent about 20 mins this morning sitting in the shower crying with dd in the bouncer. It's utterly miserable. I think that the rolling has really knocked dd off, she's barely going 2 hours now at night since she started obsessing over it. Fuckwit neighbour played music till gone midnight as well, so I couldn't even sleep when she was asleep. I feel like I'm actually going mad and am being really grumpy with dd. If this sleep consultant can help
I will post it all over mumsnet because there seem to be a lot of us in the same boat.

Good luck tonight x

Hi there,
My son was a real nightmare at night, rolling around and moving up his cot which lead to him waking up every couple of hours. He seemed to settle down when I brought him one of those sleep bags (or growbags I think they may be called) as it seemed to limit his movement to a certain extent. Also I usually leave my son for about 5-10mins before I go to him when he stirs because half the time he self-soothes and fall back asleep.
Hope this helps. :)
