Anyone with baby and toddler sharing a room?

Dd (5m) is still in with us, and I'm wondering how soon we can move her in with ds (2.6) - has anyone done it as young as 6m, or do you think this is still a bit young? Ds has just moved into a bed, if that's relevant...

Hiya there is 16mths between mine and I moved them in together when DS2 was 10mths. That said DS1 was in a cotbed and we didnt take down the sides til they were used to sharing and I could establish a few rules. Its not easy but I am so glad I persevered as they love sharing now (now 3 & 4yrs) A few of my friends ended up for various reasons separating their children again and they were over 5 before they got them sharing again.
Its down to how much you trust your ds as well. Will he let her sleep, not wake her when he is up and about, not throw anything into the cot etc? IME you have to be very vigilant in the beginning. Best of luck

I have 15months between my 1st 2 and we moved them together when ds2 was 10months too. Any younger and I would have worried about things being thrown into cot by ds1 (which he did, as well as throw himslf into cot over and over again!!) Also glad we perservered, ds2 is now 20mo and it's great, they love being together Smile

mine are 9 months and 3 and have been sharing since just before christmas. It's gone really well and I think they both find it reassuring to hear the other one chattering away. If my eldest is up after the baby she shouts 'where's baby?' and if he's awake she gives him toys and comes to get me.

3 years between my two and they share since baby is 9 months old.
baby goes to bed first and my older dc (now 4y)has his bedtime story and goes to bed about 15 min later.
I love the sound of laughter and silliness in the mornings :)
