BG v4 snap question

StoneBaby · 18/02/2011 18:51

I use BG v3 but I'm thinking of converting the velcro into snaps.
I found a tutorial on how to do it.

I just wonder if you have the v4 snap version how many snaps there are on the belly part? (I mean the part where the tabs will 'snap' IYSWIM)

I don't want to over or under order the snaps.

Thanks for your help Smile

Can you let me know what you need and where you are buying the stuff to do this and how much it is costing you?

I'm very tempted to give it a try.

Dummy Mummy sells snap presses and some coloured poppers. You can also get some on ebay but when I ordered from the Hong Kong seller who lists on there they never arrived, and I had to open a dispute to get a refund.

Kam Snaps in the USA sells poppers which match exactly the Bumgenius colours, although postage costs a lot more. You also need to buy large volume, although guess you could alwasy ebay any left over and maybe recoup costs? Depends how many BGs you have to do.

Brilliant Cumbrian, thanks for that. I need to decide if I'm brave enough to try it!

I was suprised by how easy it was once I got the hang of it and started doing it without any little hands about to "help".

The snap press is great too, as well as doing my older BGs so I could use them on No.2 bub I have also used it to: repair duvet poppers which went missing, popper bibs which No.2 had a habit of pulling off (should have seen his face the first time he tried it then, hah), and also popper toy ties and a home made duvet cover. Useful thing to have about and worth the money.

I'm not in the least bit handcrafty at all, am crap at sewing and all that stuff (duvet cover was made by MIL) so if I can, you can Wink

Maxi I've just order the plastic snaps and press from this website

I have 25 BG so I needed 100 studs and 500 sockets (hopefully I counted well!) and with the offer it costed me 51 euros. Pricey but I will still have quite a few months of use and if we have another DC I'll use my BG again.
