Take a baby to a concert?

Hi My brother and his new wife took their 6 month old baby to an Amy Winehouse concert. Their friends think this is hugely funny and hip. I think it's irresponsible. Am I being old fashioned?

Depends if it actually caused the baby any harm ? If it didn't then why not ?? I would take a baby to a concert if i could sit far enough away so the noise or crowd didn't bother them.

You can get baby ear defenders

We went to see the foo fighters and there was a Dad with his roughly 5 year old son. The boy had cotton wool in his ears but was dancing around having a great time so I would take my oldest he is 6. At certain venues they have special seats, Manchester Academy has upstairs parts where you can take kids so they don't get squashed as it is all standing

We took DD to a festival when she was about 6 weeks old. We had those baby ear defenders. Don't see what your problem is if no harm resulted to the baby.

Yup we've taken our's to a couple of festivals, we love music, they love music, and a good pair of ear defenders make it safe. So I don't see a problem.

However Amy Winehouse makes my skin crawl, I'm sure she's a lovely person in real life etc. etc. but I just think she looks like she needs a good wash. So yes in my opinion they were a bit unreasonable taking their baby to her concert

Yup. I took DD to loads of music events when a few months old. Indoors and out. Bung on the ear defenders and they'll be asleep in the sling in no time.
