PVA glue - toddler ate some

Please don't judge me for being a bad parent, even with the best will in the world toddlers are wily little blighters and besides, I feel bad enough myself.

We've been at my mum's today and my younger brothe left his bottle of PVA glue laying about, which I didn't realise until my 18 month old got hold. I took it off him straight away but he had it in hid mouth, tilted upside down and squeezing it.

I don't know if he actually swallowed any but he had some on his nose and chin and a smear on his tongue. I've given him a big drink to dilute it down and I don't want to be one of those mothers who overreacts but I remember seeing something a while back about it being harmful if swallowed.

I'm going to see how he goes and watch him for signs of being unwell but does anyone have any experience in this or advice they can offer?

No experience of PVA, but DS used to eat paint off paintbrushes and sand from the sandpit. He is nearly 10!

Keep an eye and be prepared to rush to A&E if anyone knows more about it.

What does it say on the packet about ingesting it?

It's fine.

Children in school lick it and also pick the dried glue off their hands and eat it.

Try some- slightly sticky with a hint of mold.
