Suddenly hates bathtime

My five month old had always loved her bathtime until about a month ago when she suddenly bawled when she heard the bath running and then cried the whole way through, all through dressing and for a while afterwards too. It came out of nowhere as bathtikme had always been an absolute pleasure, I did not do anything different or change her routine. It has happened every bathtime for nearly 5 weeks. I've stopped using the baby bath and tried a kind of bouncer style bath seat but this has not helped and she is still too small for the big bath alone. Any tips? Don't want a water phobic on my hands.

we put ds in the big bath from 5 weeks. He was fine in there (our backs were a bit sore though )

meant to say, why not give it a go? she might enjoy splashing around in the big bath.
