Hair pulling baby

DD2 is almost 9 mths and has always had a thing about pulling my hair. Perfectly normal I know as DD1 enjoyed that too.

My problem is that poor DD1 appears to be her main target at the mo! She has just started crawling too which mean its getting worse.
DD1 is a 'sensitive' soul too so each time it really is the end of the world! and ive noticed her getting abit agressive back towards her now.

Ive tried explaining that shes only a baby and doesnt mean it but DD1 is only 2.5 so only understands so much. Ive also been telling DD2 NO and moving her away when she does it, but again at 8mths theres only so much you can do.

The weekly shop is becoming a nightmare with both of them in the trolley now as DD1 is in prime tugging reach... Queue major screaming in the supermarket this morning. Tried online shopping but always forget stuff so end up going in anyway.

Anyone any pearls of wisdom?? or is it a case of grin and bear it till she outgrows it?

I do tell Baby off and say No, occassionally cries. Guess i'll have to stick with it till it sinks in.

Re the trolley. I do use the lay down seat and toddler seat.. she can still manage to reach her hair!
I started making DD1 wear her hood up during the shopping but now baby has leant just to pull that done.
Hair is always up anyway.
Ive tried giving her baby toys to hold and distract her which works for a while, but will try the gloves next week.

we had this for ages with ds2 and ds3

i used to give ds3 something to play with in the trolley, and put a hat on ds2.
if it got too bad i let ds2 walk
