Hi

I found a website called commonsensemedia.org which provided indications of age appropriateness for TV, films, websites, but it is very US-oriented. Does anyone know of anything similar for the UK?

Thanks.

Ihave used BBFC website to look at 12A films before. Not a review as such but they sometimes list what happens in some of the 'warning' scenes ie what language is used, violence etc.

Only goes back a couple of months so best for films and the cinema

You want the parents bit of the bbfc.

It includes old films as well as new

That's great, thanks both.

if anyone thinks of any for TV or internet that would be great too.

the common sense site is still useful as most of the TV programmes i was wondering about are American in origin anyway, eg Ben 10 and Spongebob.

the problem i find is that my son watches eg Nicktoons, and I think the programmes on that same channel can just vary a lot anyway. it was so easy when he was just into C-beebies!
