My ds aged 6 seems to have the total screaming abdabs at every opportunity whether it's in reaction to my putting antiseptic cream on a cut or another child taking a toy off him. Anything that doesn't please him.
He's been like this since he was about 2. It drives me mad. I just feel such contempt for this behaviour - he just goes into shouting, screaming hysterics over nothing. I just have to leave the room when he's like this. He doesn't respond to calming words or hugs. It's like he almost relishes the total utter drama and loss of control of it all.
Any ideas why he might be like this and what I can do about it? Apart from dump him on his bed to howl it out.
