I have a friend who is not coping with her 2 boys. One is 9 and the other is 6. In terms of her not coping I mean shouting/cursing/slapping and her husband often works away alot. When her husband is at home though he is violent and abusive towards her and violent to the boys. Often at the school she is seen and heard shouting and cursing at them and boys take their anger out on other kids at the school. Husband is often seen walking down the street with an empty bottle in his hand. Think he is an alcoholic. Sometimes mum is seen leaving her 2 kids at home on their own. Police and social services have been called numerous times and have reported them to NSPCC numerous times but nothing is seen to get done as this is still going on. Have spoken to friend and she admits herself that she finds boys hard. Once she even said that she "hates" her boys which I think is very harsh. Boys are suffering big time and are often seen with big red hand marks on them. What more can I do since ss are not acting?
