misdee, I've washed cloth nappies in launderettes whilst away, nobody ever complained, I also just used a couple of carrier bags to store the dirty ones in until I had enough nappies to wash, . I've been away for a few days, are you going somewhere nice ?

gingerbear · 06/10/2005 21:23

sorry to hijack misdee....Hello bensmum, did you get the cassette player??

gingerbear · 06/10/2005 21:24

PS misdee, I thought of taking cloth on holiday once, DH made me take a shot of whisky to calm me down.

Took the brown eco-dispies in the end.

(Never made it to the laundrette, just did 'em in the bath.)

Errr, you're not going alone with the kids are you misdee!!!

misdee · 06/10/2005 21:30

moondog · 06/10/2005 21:31

Oh,then she can do the nappies while she's out then eh?

Problem solved!

NannyL · 06/10/2005 21:59

Well its not quiet tyhe same BUT ive recently come back froma cruise on P&O...

anyway they talk about the nappies (basically says the nursary has disposables and so does the shop but their numbers are LIMITED!! so please bring enough dipsosables for your child OR you can use the ships (free) launderette to wash your own cloth nappies (so obviously IS acceptable on the ship!) OR you can pay (the extortionate prices) and have them washed for you!

startingtobehalloweenylover · 06/10/2005 22:05

why would they object?
it's up[ to you what you wash. i doubt anyone else will even be looking at your washing

bensmum3 · 06/10/2005 22:08

gingerbear, yes , thankyou, it was here when I got back from my course today, looks great, but haven't had chance to put the batteries in yet, has the cheque arrived ?
misdee, hope you have a great time, I'm taking my Mum away next weekend, but I can't imagine her washing ds's nappies, hope yours is more helpful.

misdee · 06/10/2005 22:08

LadyCodofCodford · 06/10/2005 22:12

misdee · 06/10/2005 22:16

oh no what cod? whenever i have used disposables i end up having to change dd3 clothes a lot more often than in cloth.

OP posts:
spooklymieow · 06/10/2005 22:24

cod is playing a game misdee.

misdee · 06/10/2005 22:24

what game?

moondog · 06/10/2005 22:25

I'd rather s**t in my machine where it can be washed away than in my bin.
Or worse still, sealed in a plastic airlock in a bedroom for days in one of those weird Sangenic bins.....

misdee · 06/10/2005 22:26

moondog, i have a rather sick image of you squatting over the machine now lol. the poo goes down the lav anyway.

OP posts:
pootlepod · 06/10/2005 22:27

Moondog, scary had exactly the same thought.

Everything that goes in a machine is dirty???? It'll be fine.

gingerbear · 06/10/2005 22:27

It is only poo.
What about skiddies on their DH underpants? Same thing.

misdee · 06/10/2005 22:29

ok, so will take the cloth nappies. does anyone have a huge waterproof bagi can borrow. i would usually just use a big black bag, but i have an inquestative 3yr old and will need to hang it somewhere.

OP posts:
moondog · 06/10/2005 22:29

I'd have to crap at right angles to deposit in my washing machine misdee!
(Might manage it with afrench style top loader though......)
