ds refusing to eat

what the hell do i do?

he's just had the biggest tantrum because he doesn't want his chicken dinner

i'm tired and really upset

he's 17 months, was sick a few nights ago and eaten little since.

he's drinking ok and has had 7 spoons of porriage, nibble of toast and a yoghurt today. poo was plastacine this morning - nothing since

i think i just need a break

Don't worry, he is probably not feeling well. Keep offering the drinks but it won't matter if he misses one meal. You could offer a snack later.

Don't worry. Just make sure he drinks plenty and is still weeing so you know he is hydrated. He's off his food and he will get better again. My two have done this at various stages. I found the best thing was to offer food at normal times, not react if they didnt eat it and leave tit bits between meals as and when. He won't starve himself.

It can take them a while to get over a tummy bug, I would justvkeep offering plain food like toast, apples, etc - if he doesn't want dinner then just let him get down and offer a banana or something before bedtime.

I feel your pain as have a teething 20mo who had a huge tantrum over dinner and threw risotto all over the floor
