Hi,
For all those mothers who have dexterity problems meaning that poppers are a no go zone or a nightmare I have found velcro baby grows for sale! Also found zipped romper suits for sale (well my mum has).
If you go onto Mothercare online, go to baby clothing section and select premature range (don't worry the range does go up to new born size), there are velcro babygrows, velcro vests, velcro dungers, a whole blissful world of easiness. Go look now before Mothercare stop the range which I hope they won't as I am about to congratulate them on this venture.
Also in Mothercare store are a variety of zipped romper suits, ok so they are in the style of ladybirds, monkeys etc but only in that there is a hood with some ladybird related thing on it or monkey etc. The zips are easy to work and a godsend I am sure my 2 week old baby is not minding that he is in a snug romper that is red with big black spots on the front. "Next" also did some of these suits that had no animal theme just normal babygrows with zips.
Mum found some thinner summer rompers with zips and normal teddy patterns on the front at baby clothing central.co.uk they look fab but bit big for my little one at the mo but good to stock up whilst you see these things.
If zips are fiddly go to Timpsons and ask for some key ring rings, attach to zip and hey presto easy pully on zip.
Just wanted to offer some help because this is the kind of info I needed when I was pregnant instead mum, hubby and I have spent hours, weeks searching for easy clothing. Can you see why we are writing a ref book for disabled parents!?! Don't want others wasting an aaaage like we did looking for easy items.
Hope this helps someone on here.
Carrie
