You;ll get a place then, no prob.

I tried to go to college yeah. 2 buses past me cos they were full and 3rd didn't turn up, then harry started moaning for a wee and by that time it was nearly 9. Id' left the house at 7.50.

I am going to have to speak to them about the start time. Have emailed to say i was ill thats why i didn't go, and that I know what the assigments are anyway cos i've done them before so will make a start.

tiredemma · 06/10/2005 14:28

whats your first lesson? its IT isnt it? drop IT - i did last year, you dont need it for university, its only the NHS who want you to have it and they have got funding for 10 years to get everyone trained. Really you dont need it.

OP posts:
nutcackle · 06/10/2005 14:30

We've been told we have to do it though. Plus when it changes to another lesson after half term or whenever then i will be stuck again then.

tiredemma · 06/10/2005 14:31

ah right- what time does it start?

OP posts:
nutcackle · 06/10/2005 15:57

9am. It was advertised a starting at 10am though and I had been told no ealier than 9.30 but apparently because the rest of the timetable has been fitted around it now, they can't change it.

tiredemma · 06/10/2005 16:12

thats not fair- we dont start till 0930- and nobody in my group would of been able to start at 0900 last year due to kids needing to dropped off at school. Maura is a bit unapproachable about things like that, you will have to turn up to each IT lesson late and they will just have to deal with it. How can it be a family friendly course if its impossible to fit in around family?
has anyone else complained?

OP posts:
nutcackle · 06/10/2005 16:14

A few people said it was no good when we first found out but since then no one else seems bothered.

My neighbour has said she will take the girls to school for me, allowing me to get the 8.10 bus , but the bus won't stop cos it's full to bursting with school kids.

Maybe I should get a taxi and tell them they have to pay

Not sure whatelse to do really other than speak to Sara about it.

tiredemma · 06/10/2005 16:30

id speak to sara and tell her that there is no way that you can get into college until at least 0920, and mention that the yr 2 group dont start till 0930. I know that she will say "but you need to do all lessons blah blah blah" but explain about how its inconvinient for you. nobody in my group would be able to be there for 0900, not a chance. they dont make things easy for people do they?????? [mad]

Good luck tiredmama is this for a march or sept 2006 intake?

UCAS seemed very laid back to me when I applied.... I applied in April this year and only hear at the end of August that I had a place starting on 26th Sept..
