Hi,

I've been browsing the secondhand nappy sites and have come across loads of wool shorties. Does anyone know what they're for and are they any good?

Thanking in advance for your wondrous knowledge Grin

Wool shorties are little woolly shorts as opposed to wool longies which are woolly long pants. Grin

My favourite night time combination is a Bedbug topped with Disana wool shorties. PJs can go on top - or not.

Thanks swampster

So you can kinda use them as a bit of extra protection over reusables?

You can use them instead of PUL/plasticy wrap covers. They are lovely because they are breathable so you don't get that horrid steaming mess when you undo a nappy first thing in the morning. The shorties may feel a bit dampish but not wet - just hang them up to air.

You need to lanolise them (soak them in a lanolin solution) from time to time to make them leak-proof. But not too often and you don't need to wash them often unless they get poo on them because wool is like magic and doesn't hold on to smells.

they would be good over sposies for extra protection if you need it.

I love them and DS still wears his even though he isn't in cloth any more as they look very cute!
