what time does yr 12 year old go to bed?

Hi my dd is 12 and her bed time is 9pm, which she thinks is too early, some of her friends are up till 1030, what time does yr 12 year old go to bed?

My DD is 13 (year 8) and would generally be in bed with her light off by 9.30 on a school night. I'm sure she's right about some staying up much later though.

lights out at nine on schoolnights for my 13 year old, but we are up early by seven, no excuses!

and he mills about till much later on holidays and weekends

thanks, feel bad but i feel when they are at secondary school they should be in bed at a reasonable hour.

Mine is almost 12. She is upstairs by about 8, bath then pottering, singing JLS songs into the mirror for half an hour, not putting clothes away that I asked her to, webcamming her mates and then lights out prob about 9/9.30. When she is particularly tired ratty it could be earlier. Friday nights about 10.30 because she has Guides until 9 and it's the weeeeeekend !!

Lights out between 10 and 10.15 but I think that's aminly because she shares with her big sister and she stays up till then.

thanks pointydug, she stays up till 11ish on a weekend but 9 on school nights, i thought i was being quite reasonable.

Mine is nearly 12 and goes upstairs at 8-8.30 on a weeknight then has a shower and reads for a bit.

My DD is 12, weekdays goes up at 9 but usually 10/10.30 before she settles down to sleep. (she reads an awful lot)

Weekends she's up till 10 ish.

She's never complained.

Mine is 13 sleeps at 10:00 wakes up 7.20
I think i should move the bedtome to 9pm after reading these messages.

Just put bedtime forward for our dd2 from 9 til 9.15. Last time we tried this she struggled to get up in the mornings but I think she's ready for that extra 15 mins now.
Goes at abt 10 or 11 on weekend - just when she's tired really
