My DS who is 3 and a half, is having nightmares, a few a night. It has got so bad that I have to sit with him untill he is asleep or falls back to sleep.He grips on to my arm so tight that I have nail marks on my arm! when I ask what are your dreams about, he has pretty much the same story each time (a green robot/monster is coming to get him)but a few times he has said 'I couldnt find mummy' or 'mummy ran away' he is incosolable :( I have gone around a found every toy or book that is green or a monster or a darn transformer and hid them. and am watching what is on the tv as he has a sister 10, so she watches cbbc ect, so I make sure its nothing remotely scary.
He had never been a great sleeper, but would get himself to sleep and stay in his own room at night (I use a sleep trainer clock)
But this has been going on for about a month now and I was woundering if it could be due to baby due soon (just started getting things ready for dc3 and maybe its made it seem more real to him?) he is quite a clingy little mummys boy. I cant be doing this as well a be up all night with a newborn! Help!
