Were going back over financially as its just dh wages coming in now. Were skint...brassic!! No word from the bursary grants unit I don't even know if I was successful for the childcare grant or not...opened a student account to access the overdraft to pay for the childcare so far just would like to know what will receive from them so can plan ahead. If not eligible for the childcare aspect hopefully the bursary will cover some or most of it.

Anyone else having no luck with regards to the bursary??

Heard nothing Its getting very stressful now! Have u phoned them? Ive tried but always engaged so tried emailing but no reply. My tutor at uni said we should be getting bursary into our accounts tomorrow but as Ive not heard anything dont know wot to think! One lady I spoke to at uni yesterday said they are over a month behind on the applications.
Im in the same position as u, only dp wages coming in and child care to pay for!Have u had your letter for council tax given to you? I know its not much but atleast it saves a bit of money!

Screwball - nothing for me so far either. Am bloody furious. Can't get through to them on the phone. College finance bod couldn't give a toss.

Frankly at this rate I'd have better luck with the CSA...

Nothing not one penny in my account I am furious! How are us mums meant to cope with no money?

Finally got through and was first told that they had lost my documents and that I would have to re apply then was told that they had processed form and a payment would be going in on this friday. They wouldn't tell me how much or if I had been eligible for childcare grant. I really can't figure them out and you'd think they would learn from last years muck ups.

Fingers crossed that It goes in on friday and hopefully all your bursaries too

is it for nursing/midwifery. if so the minimum you will get is about £500 (over 26 its £540 and about £50 less for under 26)

all the girls on our course have had thers sorted now, unles they had forms returned as were wrong. have you had a form returned?

usually if you try about 3p.m to ring it is easier to get through, still prob need a cordless phione so you can carry on walking around and getting on with any jobs you need to do.
