Are TRAMPOLINES a good idea???

Am considering buying a 14 ft trampoline with safety net for the children this Christmas. Why??? because everyone tells me they're great fun and to definately buy one. I know they are quite expensive, is a budget priced one a good buy, or do you have to go top of the market?? Or should I just get them bikes instead?

My charges ages 3 and 5 LOVE theirs. (in fact so do i!)

we have had hours of fun on it, i would definitkey recommend one if you have room... it also really tires them out and is good exercise

(you just have to make sure that they know about being 'sensible' on it!)

From what I've heard it's worth getting quality for an outdoors trampoline. At 14ft you'll be able to bounce too (it's brilliant for workign your pelvic floor) and you'll want it to last long enough for the children to bounce even when they're big. I'm presuming you're in UK with lots of rain.

Not that I have one, but once we have a back garden we shall have a BIG trampoline even if it's the only thing in the garden!

Ours is 14', it's FAB. The TP ones were too soft, so we got a Supertramp. We had a fun day trying them all out at the Active Toy Company as well.

I am thinking of doing the same thing this xmas! I heard nothing but good from the other parents that have one.

Also just incase your interested, apparently it help your child's cognitive development because bouncing on a trampoline requires using both sides of the brain!!!!!!!
So does drinking through a straw!

we haven't got one - but lots of friends have and when we visit it is my boys favourite plaything - they are always really hard to drag home because they don't want to leave the trampoline. one frined told me the other day it was the best thing they had ever bought for their kids.

Lots of laughing and lots of fun usually - but you do have to supervise to make sure they are not doing something dangerous or having too many people bouncing at the same time (supposed to be one only I think, but more than one is part of the fun for kids). Usually it is best if you can keep kids to the same size at a time - more scope for accidents if you have a 10 year old bouncing with a 5 year old.
