Hi, I am a native spanish speaker and have taught piano/music for the last 20 years. I was recently asked to teach some of my children's friends spanish. I speak only spanish to them (4) while my DH speaks only english. I am looking into good teaching material. Have any of you a particular book/method to recomend? Any good/bad experiences with private tutoring that may be useful to know? Thanks a lot for your help.

Berlitz do a spanish language pack which includes a story book, audio cd and picture dictionary....

The best methods to teach them really depends on the age group.

Activities and games are a good way to start with a slightly younger audience. Try playing games like 'Simon says', 'I went to a restaurant and bought a ..... ', Eye-spy etc you can develop them to match your environment and audience.

There are a few top tips for slightly younger audiences on www.diglotbooks.com
