Sick toddler not eating

Hi all,

My 23 month old is still recovering from a nasty cold from which he stopped eating and does not drink too much either. He is off everything and has been for a week.

If he does manage a couple of mouthfulls he then gags on the third and will then stop.

He is starting to be on the mend now but is still refusing to eat anything.

I am going to get him some vitmin drops just to get something in him.

What to do?

Thanks

when my DD1 refused to eat for a while, after a vomiting bug, I found the one thing she did like were the innocent fruit smoothies for kids. She had 1-2 a day, so at least she was getting something inside her.

He'll let you know when he gets his appetite back, just keep offering him things you know he'll eat, and bland stuff like bread and butter, weetabix etc as his tummy will be fragile from not eating.

Hope that helps!

Have you tried smoothies or ellas kitchen fruit sachets? Ds will often slurp on these if he's under the weather and at least they're getting some nutrients then

Thanks for your help. The little fella is now back to normal and I needn't have worried.

Your advice was useful.

Thanks again.
