I've heard if you are a student you can buy a proper official copy of word 2010 for about £40.

Has anyone bought it?

Is this right?

Where can I get it from?

Just to be super helpful I don't knowGrin
But I don't use word anyway, I use open office which is a free download and has word/excel/powerpoint type programs, plus you can save them as .doc extensions so they can still be emailed/used on other computers.

it's £50 here

Search for ultimate steal and if you use a uni email address you'll get a bargain

Or this one: Software4students
Am inbetween uni courses at the moment so havent tried, but apparently they look for student ID.
Good prices though.

Software 4 students will sell to people who have a child at school, or anyone studying any kind of course. Look on their website for more details.
