DS2 (8) is allowed 30 mins of computer time per day

More allowed if:

• friends here & playing 2 player games
• travelling
• waiting in shops while DH & I choose e.g. furniture

It gets a bit difficult if we have a busy day and he doesn't play on it, then tries to 'carry it over' to the next day

and now that DS1 has a iPod Touch we are having all sorts of 'unfair' arguments

I don't put time limits on it. My kids got their DSi's last xmas when they were 7, almost 8 and got the Wii the year before.

I let them play as long as they like and they aren't obsessed. Most days these things aren't touched tbh, but some days they play for hours. For me, it's not worth a battle and has never turned into an issue.
