Removing stains

I've just started weaning Bubs and all his food seems to be orange. It leaves really bad stains on his clothes which don't come out in the wash.
Can anyone suggest what might work please?

in my experience - nothing works. Sorry. Only neat bleach on whites. cheap clothes, cheap bibs, feed him in the nude or in the bath....

Huge bibs that cover his clothes. Or feed him in his undies (not nude now we're going into autumn, hc! ) or buy him some orange clothes for mealtimes...

I had the same problem and someone on mumsnet told me the sun is best. IT Works!!! if I get stains on her bibs I put them to dry in the sun and the stain goes. Ive tried vanish and every stain remover going but the sun is the best.

The sun????!!???

Janh · 02/10/2005 18:29

Sun is great (if it happens to be shining of course) - even gets rid of mildew

Biotex. Gets rid of neon poo stains. Recommended to me on here. It works!

emkana · 02/10/2005 19:35

It doesn't even need to be sunny, I just put clothes on the window sill and after a day or two the stain is gone.

Napisan works for me everytime - I rub some into the stain before the wash and then put some in the washingmachine too - only once have I had to try on a stain twice!

monstersmummy · 02/10/2005 20:09

oxi clean does the trick usually BUT for really stubborn stains i rub the vanuish stick in forst then oxy clean them and if that fails then it becomes a stay at home only bib

chonky · 02/10/2005 20:12

Biotex works everytime for me.

monstersmummy · 02/10/2005 20:17

chonky i read that as Botox!!!!

chonky · 02/10/2005 20:19

Some Botox wouldn't go amiss for me either . If only it were as cheap as Biotex.
