Stripping cloth nappies?

Can someone please explain to me what is involved in stripping nappies and what the difference is from ordinary nappy washing -(I usually cold wash without soap then wash at 60 with soap and then do an extra rinse).

I don't know what others do but I put them on a hot wash with 1/2 normal amount of detergent, then I wash repeatedly at a lower temp until the water in the machine isn't soapy at all.

For microfleece nappies I wash with a few capfuls of vinegar to remove smells and then do as above.

I think if you search for 'strip' and 'nappies' on the search thingy on here you'll probably find loads.
