Ds1 (5) had his photo day on tuesday morning, and had a letter sent home a couple of weeks ago informing all parents as last year we took ds2 aswell and we had a lovely set of pictures of them both! However i had a baby a couple of weeks ago and while i was in the hospital they sent the letter home and dp chucked it out and never told me about it (dp chucks almost everything out as he thinks its tidying up! ) so my mum and i went and had a lovely day shopping and when i picked ds1 up he looked very down and when i asked why he said it was his picture day today and everyones mummy was there and there brothers and sisters i was the only one on my own! i feel like such a crap awful mummy he said he was waiting for us to come for ages, i cant beleive i didnt go! plus my aunt works at the school and she said they were expecting us to bring the new baby and have pictures taken of all 3 of them! and so im absolutley gutted about missing that too! its probably a really stupid question but is there anything i can do about it, my mum bless her seems to think i could contact the photographer and arrange to have ds1's pics re-done with ds2 and dd?? is this possible do you think? i feel so bad!

men!! what are they like, try not to feel so guilty (although I know it's easier said than done) perhaps you should organise a family portrait of all of you at a local studio and make a fun day of it, a lot of photographers also take fun shots to so it may be a great way to spend a day??

Aw, not your fault. See if they can do it again for you or try and arrange a special picture for all of you with another photographer? Dd1 had her first ever class photo in reception last year and we'd just had a baby and I forgot to buy the picture. Easily done.

I hope you have a word with your DH & make him feel bad too!

I think that contacting the photographer would be a great idea, if no louck there tho you could take them to get a professional photo taken.

Hope you feel better soon.

Tried contacting photographer, but its too late! will have to arrange a family portrait like some of you suggested - is it expensive?

Do you go to any toddler groups or know anyone that does...even nurserys. I know our nursery is more than happy to do anyone piccys, they put a leaflet up on the door. You could get them all done by Pixiphoto in Boots, look there too.

Oh and I missed dd2s school piccy in the local newspaper so your not the only one who does things like this!

HelenEmjay · 03/10/2005 16:04
