A green one and a red one, cotton like cover and then you had to put something inside it and then it had plastic poppers to make it size adjustable ??

No ds is out of nappies now. Was looking for my friend. I'd described it to her but didn't know which it was.

Also meant to ask if they are any good, or are there better but similar ones ??

I really haven't a clue.

starlover · 28/09/2005 19:46

i think they're fab!

nutcracker · 28/09/2005 19:48

How often do you have to buy new ones though ?? They don't have the same size from baby to toddler do they ??

OP posts:
starlover · 28/09/2005 19:52

no there are 4 sizes i think
depends how big baby is really. ds is 7.5 months, weighs over 20lb and is still in mediums

nutcracker · 28/09/2005 19:53

Right ok, thanks Starlover

OP posts:
starlover · 28/09/2005 19:57

oh and they have a good resale value, so if you aren't having any more babies then you can sell them on for over half price

nutcracker · 28/09/2005 20:09

Oh right, thats even better, will tell her that.

Sorry can i be a pain and ask another question ?

How many nappies would she need ?? She has 2 other kids so would be washing every day anyway.

OP posts:
starlover · 28/09/2005 20:24

how old is baby? for a newborn she'd probably want at least 12

nutcracker · 28/09/2005 20:27

She is pregnant now. Plans to use disposables whilst in hospital and for the first couple of weeks but yeah it would be newborn she'd need i think.

12 wow really, i was going to say 6 LOL

OP posts:
starlover · 28/09/2005 20:29

well, i think when ds was newborn we used between 6-8 a day (depending on poos!)

i guess she could get away with as few as 6 but she would have to wash and dry 5 of them while baby was in the 6th iyswim

it's easier to have 2 days worth so that you can wash the first day's worth while wearing the second lot!

nutcracker · 28/09/2005 20:31

Ahh right i see.

Right i will tell her all that then and leave it up to her to decide.

Thanks for the help

i had about 10-12 in use at anyone time. i currently have about 30nappies (i had a clear out) and do a wash every other day. usually because the bin is full and not because i have run out of nappies.
