7 week old DS doesn't like Daddy!

DS is a very good baby on the whole - not colicky, feeds and sleeps well. He is exclusively breastfed. Problem is, he only seems to want to be with me. Whenever DH tries to have a cuddle, even straight after a feed when DS is definitely not hungry, he will start screaming until he's passed back to me. It's getting to the point where DH is getting upset and saying sadly "why doesn't he like me?" I feel awful - I know it's normal for babies to want their mum at this age, but he needs to get to know his Daddy too! Is there anything we can do to improve things? I haven't tried expressing any milk yet but I'm going to start soon, then maybe giving him a bottle might help.

DS (9 weeks was like this. DH started wearing the sling with him in while he did things around the house, washing up etc. That way DS went to sleep against him and gradually got used to being with him. In fact he now goes to sleep better for DH than for me. Do you have a sling for him? We put him in a ring sling, he loves it in there on DH.

Hi I posted something similar when my daughter was 6 wks old (she's now 12 wks)only I bottle feed so my O/H would give her feeds to. This made no difference as all she wanted was me after he had fed her. He was quite upset at first and thought like your O/H that baby didn't like him. However now she is 12 wks she seems fine with him and will even sleep on his lap for a good hr or so. She still wants mummy cuddles when she is off colour but she is now fine with me or my O/H settling her :)
