Anyone Else Partner in Merchant Navy?

I am new to this thread and looking for any other mum's whose partners are in the Merchant Navy. Apologies if there is already a thread for this but would love to hear from anyone who is in a similar position to myself - recently had a baby and finding it challenging at times when he is at sea...and at home !

hi hope someone answers you soon.not sure if the merchant navy is the same as the royal navy.my brothwer-in-law was in the navy for 25yrs leaving my sister with a3 yr old and new born twins she found it very hard!.

Thanks very much Donna. I've had a bit more luck with the other topics! Merchant Navy and Royal Navy are quite different but same principal of DH away for weeks or even months on end. Wow, I really admire your sister. I have one baby and find that really hard hence my threads. However your sister kind of puts it into perspective! Thanks again for your reply. X
