I just want to post some praise for my DD (not posted for a few weeks as internet has been down)
Last week both DH and I came down with a bad case of Tonsilitis and sickness and other..(blush) both our temps were up to 40 degrees, so when dd was home from school she just said go to sleep on the sofa and I will look after boo boo (her nick name for ds), if we need you i will wake you up. She is nine next week and ds is nearly 16 months. She played with him on the floor in the front room for a few hours to keep him occupied, while we both dosed on and off. I do feel guilty about this but know that she has good common sense and knew not to let ds out of the front room and if she did leave to get a drink or go to the loo then she would wake one of us up. She even made him a bottle of milk and rocked him to sleep in his pram at nap time.
I am so luckily to have such a good and helpful little girl, (even though she has her moments ) when we were talking about it later she said it was great it was like being a nurse and a babysitter. Luckily dh and I only had one day where both of us were really bad as he came down with it first. I am just hoping that neither dd or ds come down with it now.
