Present etiquette

SIL bought a present for dd1 which included a craft kit to make a rag doll. We got the kit out over the weekend and it was rubbish - the hair didn't stick on properly, unclear instructions, seemed to be bits missing etc.

Do you think I should tell SIL and ask her to return it (or I could return it) or just not worry and write thank you note?

I wouldn't bother telling her, just write a thankyou note... unless you are likely to see her soon and your daughter is old enough to say 'your present was crsp!' Grin

crap, not crsp, that would be weird...
