hi, my little girl who is 2 has picked up this naughty trick. i also have a 4 month old son. my dd will kiss him and be nice and all of a sudden its like she cant help adding a little nip. i cant look away for a second when she is near him at the moment. she does love him.... most of the time. we give her heaps of attention and as she is a daddy's girl dh is very careful about giving ds too much attention when she is around. have i a baby vampire?

lots of children seem to go through this. You seem to be doing the right thing. But you have to tell her that this is not acceptable. maybe time out if she bites etc?

Agree with AM about the time out.

how is the best way to give her time out? she is going through such a naughty patch as far as listening goes.

perhaps she should have been a male - no ears

with my ds1 the best kind of punishment at this age was banishment -- to somewhere away from people. Giving the message "If you can't behave nicely, we don't want to spend time with you".

It worked, anyway.
