Putting my baby into a buggy!

Hi all, just wondering when people put their babies into a buggy? I have the mothercare my4 and it tilts so baby is upwards more like a buggy! She looks comfy in it and it only tilts a little but she's only 4 and a half months and I was wondering if that's a little too early?

It's supposed to be six months, I think - or maybe when they can properly support their heads? Looking comfy sounds like a good sign.

I had dd in a buggy from day dot, not having read the manual properly. I still feel guilty...

if she looks comfy its probably fine? it depends on the size of the baby too, i know the guidelines are 6 months but i never was able to keep either of mine in the lie flat thing until 6 months as they felt squashed. yours dont sound like it is really an upright buggy, just a bit tilted?

I have a Mothercare Xcursion - it is upright but slightly tilted, similar to the tilt of a bouncy chair I suppose. My 4 month old is sitting up in it now, he looks comfy and likes to look around.

I have the My4 too - I switched from pram to buggy mode when DS was 4 months (couldn't wait til 6 months as he was too long for pram!). He seemed to be fine in it, and it reclines almost flat if they fall asleep anyway. Smile

Mine only tilts a little it doesn't seem to go into a proper buggy! Maybe I'm not doing it right.. [Blush]

my ds is 4.5 months and i moved him from carrycot into the pushchair bit a couple of weeks ago even though it says from 6 months. he is much happier being able to see out and also sleeps better in it. it can face me though which is a bonus.

I have the my4 and I think ds was about that age when I started tilting it... It should be able to tilt into several different positions- one is pretty upright, but you can still lie it back if they need to sleep. We put the harness, cosy toes etc on at that point too. Maybe go into Mothercare and get them to show you if you get stuck... Or you can ask me and I can try to explain properly! :)
