Wills, Marina, Musica etc I miss us all chatting together. Time to pass on the mum2be moving on thread - so shall we start up again, and anyone else of course.

Still in cloud9 after last night. Poor DH had to spend the morning getting the holiday cottage ready and then I had to go and help him!!!!! But its OK because I feel great. Not even a little bit sore down there. Just these dratted afterpains to contend with - always think this bit is so unfair! You go through all that and get the reward of a lovely baby but the afterpains don't really give you anything do they. Oh well mustn't complain. MW said I'm back to a third already so thats why it hurts so much.

Wills how are those stitches doing? Hope you are not too uncomfy.

Well just changed 3 merconium nappies so no problems with Bea's bowels at all! And the cloth nappies are doing great - just ordered some more girly ones. Even my cloth sanpro is bearing up - much admired by the MWs.

Oh well better go and get the tea ready. Packed DH off to the park with the kids for half and hour for some peace and quiet so just been wallowing in a lovely bath. Time to return to domesticity now

Just had the most horrendouse school run ever!

Landrover this morning. Groan. Plus heavy front. Help! Got the kids over the bridge to the carpark but door handles frozen so dumped them and dashed back to house for jug of hot water. De-iced handles but doors frozen shut too. Took 10 mins to get them open and get the kids inside. Then went to shut the door but the handles had frozen again. Tried WD40 then hot water but no joy. Tried shutting the door and locking it. Didn't shut properly but lock jammed so couldn't reopen it. Decided it was safe enough so climbed in the drivers seat and shut the door. That wouldn't fasten either. Tried dropping the lock and it also jammed without door shutting properly. However I couldn't get out now anyway so decided to go for it.

Then realised windscreen had re-frozen. Tried to hang out of window to scrape it but couldn't reach so had to sit there for 10 minutes while engine heated up. Eventually cleared enough to see to drive DS to school. When we got there remembered that childlocks in back and front lock jammed so couldn't get out. Had to climb out of window and lift DS out too. All this in my party dress and posh boots as taking DD1 to party later this morning. DS was over 20 minutes late! Then had to climb back in the window to come home.

Somehow managed to get us all back into the house to let the dog out and feed the chickens but now I need to start all over again to take DD1 to this party. Arghhhh. Suppose I'd better start now....... Just needed to get that off my chest!

Well managed to get to the music group party. Parked in the sun. Then once inside I had this horrible image of teh landrover thawing out and me coming out to find all the doors had swung open. Didn't happen thankfully although the doors did thaw so at least I can do my shopping this afternoon without having to climb through the window in the middle of town!

Katherine- similar happened to me last christmas when at DS1's friends party. couldn't get into car as frozen lock, very difficult in the pitch black, got in and found i had left lights on and now the battery gone, got a jump start from another guest's dad then went to go and door wouldn't shut as lock frozen, finally got home and then couldn't get out! I felt soooo anoyed as I can cope with most things eg. i could change a wheel, but I had to ask for help from a dad that is such a chovanist(sp?)
pleased you got there in the end. problem is that with all the boiling water it makes it more prone to happen again at the next freeze! i filled locks with wd40 when defrosted and that seemed to do it!

Well, DD now has a chest infection. so is coughing and wheezing all day and totally frightening me at night. To top it all I can't get the anti-b's down her as she has never had anything but a boob! I have tried with a syringe and she chokes and spits it all out. Have even tried to drip it into side of her mouth while she is feeding and as soon as she tastes it she freaks. Did manage 1 dose today doing 0.2ml at a time. took ages as she has to have 3.75ml and I'm sure the neighbours think I am trying to murder her. She is due another dose at midnight! Will she wake DS1 & 2?

Well, feeling a lot better this week.
Hair is falling out in bloody handfuls! Remember this from ds1.

Musica, saw your thread, I have days like that with ds1, I think whoever said to try and put today behind you and try to have a better day tomorrow was right. We beat ourselves up with guilt about these things don't we?

Ds2 seems so much more responsive than ds1 ever was. He laughs, gurgles, coos, you name it, whenever he has someone's attention.
I can't help it.. I absolutely adore him, gorgeous boy that he is. I'm so glad he's mine! I could kiss that silky skin all day.

Having driving lessons atm, can't wait till I've got the freedom to go wherever I want in the day with the boys.

Totally disorganised for Christmas, still got ALL the presents to buy! I'm the same every year!

Hope you're all a bit more organised than me!
