Loose the dummies?

My 31 month old twin girls will be going into big beds next week - yikes! They currently go to sleep with 2 cuddly toys and 3 dummies each!!
I was planning to loose the dummies next week saying the man who was bringing their big beds would be taking dummies for all the new babies.
Has anyone taken away dummies when children moved to big beds?
Do you think it will be too much of a change?
Should I keep the dummies till Xmas and give them to Santa??
I want the transition to be as stress free for all of us as poss!

bed first, then dummies. You'll need the dummies when they make the transition into big beds. The dummies won't take long once they're settled and happy (dd1 took a couple of nights).

I'd keep the dummies until they are settled. I always only changed one thing at a time, as I wanted to limit the stress- potential!
