How many cloth nappies do I need for a 2 1/2 year old? (Bumbles)

I want to get DS back into cloth before I potty train him, so he can feel that he's wet.

He was in flats, boosted, with a few Bumbles to use at night.

The flats were just leaking, even in an XL wrap, so we abandoned ship and he's been in pampers for a few months.

We are planning to increase the family, so money spent on cloth nappies at this stage won't be a waste.

I want to get some Eco Bumbles, and I've got loads of bad decision terries to chop up for absorbency, but I am unsure how many to go for.

With my 20 mo I use about 3 in a day and then another overnight (a disposable overnight, the shame, oh the shame!!) so I would think the same or less for an older one??

If I just had DD1 I could get away with 10 and wash every other day. HTH and someone with DC nearer your DSs age soon.

Why not try tot's bots nappies I've researched them and they seem to be very absorbent and you can adjust them to size for different children.

I'm thinking I'll get another 10 Eco bumbles to add to the six I've got.

Tots Bots do seem good, but I don't want to spend more than I already have.
I have a stack of Little Ewe and bamboo terries that were failures that I can stuff the Eco Bumbles with.

I have 15 Eco Bumbles which I bought from Amazon at £15 for five (so 45 quid). I stuff them with a terry square cut in half (oh the glamour!). I use them with Motherease Riki & Airflow wraps and they have been great - no leaks!

This is all for a 10 month old though, so maybe not that helpful! We have no tumble drier, so I do regularly need to dip into my terry squares again while the Bumbles are drying!

You'd be good with 15 I reckon and they'd be great for another baby Smile

I would use 5-6 nappies a day for my ds2 when he was your ds's age, but ds2 wees loads so I have to change frequently. I would have thought a minimum of 12 nappies that way you can have a days worth in the wash and a day to use. Although that doesn't give much leeway for getting dry/using more than normal.
