Present ideas for 12 month age gap.

Hi, My SIL is due DC2 in April, DD1 will be a year old. I am trying to think of practical gift ideas as they have everything from DD1 for the new baby and I don't want to just give them money.

I was hoping that someone with a similar age gap could recommend what they found useful/a lifesaver.

I have a 19 month age gap between my 2 dd's but that extra 7 months seems to make a huge difference.

Also any words of wisdom would be great too.

TIA for any help.

I had a 15 month gap and I think the only extra things I needed were a double buggy (money towards that?) and a sling(s)! I really felt the need to have some new nice clothes/blankets/teddies for the younger one as I didn't want him to have ALL hand-me downs! So maybe a lovely out-fit or blanket?

Thanks, if its a boy it will certainly get plenty of new clothes as only girls in our families yet! :)

I was thinking a sling, she has a baby carrier for when out walking the dog but I thought a sling more for in the house to keep her hands free, any suggestions?
