Someone said today that you never get these days back and to enjoy being with my baby (she's 4 weeks old) and I suddenly feel like maybe I'm not "enjoying" her as I should...

My days go past in a blur of making bottles, changing nappies (seriously, how many?!) docs/hosp appointments (don't ask!) rocking to sleep and cuddles... and if i get a spare minute i grab a shower/ cuppa...

sometimes I stop and look at her and go "oh you're so cute!"
It's like I forget because I'm so busy!! how should I be doing this??

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Don't panic, but do give yourself a moment to watch her sleep.

Enjoy the cuddles.. sniff her, kiss her, take her photo, with you and/or her Daddy..

Let her fall asleep on top of you..

And PLEASE don't worry about a routine yet!

I felt like that too, but, IIRC, at about 8 weeks, everything seemed to settle down, I was confident so not every little task was a complete faff, she had settled into being a baby, and then it was easier to find time to just enjoy.

Oh, and if you want to just lie there for an hour with her doing nothing, do it. I always felt I had to justify being at home by being The Queen of Housework until my husband told me to chill Grin
