Help. Have been wet pailing dd's tots bots in napisan - best way found to get rid of nappy rash but now the orange nappies only have got blue/purple stains on them - looks like a pen leaked over them!!! WHat is this? Is it from the napisan? why is it only on the orange tots bots and no other colour?

I use napisan, and it doesn't stain....But I use unbleached MEOS.

how long do you leave the nappies soaking in it? I can't understand what i am doing wrong?

can you not dry pail them then add napisan to the washing powder in the machine?

This kills any germs just as effectively (and elimintaes the (small) risk of baby falling into nappy bucket and drowning (which does occasionally happen ) unless of course you keep the buckets up high

Napisan contains a bleaching agent and shouldn't be used with elasticated nappies, or mixed coloured ones I suppose.

I just rinse my nappies down the loo and dry pail them, then give them an extra rinse in the machine before the 60 deg wash. I haven't got any coloured nappies though!

So do non bio powders... contain bleaching agents (or optical brighteners.... ) thats HOW they make white white!

I have had blue pen marks on clothes/sheets that I have soaked and I have found that this is due to me putting in too much and not disolving it properly in hot hot water before adding cold.
