My DD's require vegetable costumes for a play. Any ideas where I can get these?

Fancy dress shop or clever friend (pay them) that will make them for you.

Cardboard and poster paint is your friend for this one.

orange leggings and T-shirt + cardboard skinny triangle tabard painted orange + Green hat = Carrot.

VERY similar but off white = Parsnip

Pale green with lines up and down = Celery.

If you are slightly arty I guess any veg is doable in that style. spuds, peppers etc. Just think cartoony outline drawing , so you have "D picture of veg on front AND back of child with appropriate colour legs and top and a hat.

Good luck

One of our local kids dressed up as broccoli for a fashion show this summer, another as a banana . They both used withy frames with paper and latex skins, BUT they were attending a week of workshops in craft techniques. Other kids did the cardboard tabard method.

Wow UniS - you sound very arty. The kids are so excited as it's the first time they've got a main part in a play, so I may splash out and buy them something. I'm not the most artistic. Thanks for ideas.

ALl the best with the play. My son is hoping to be the star in his preschool nativity play. Literally, he wants to be the child who walks across stage with a star on a pole followed by teh wise men...

Last year it was a girl, dressed in ballet tutu. NOT quite sure what boy is planning on wearing if he gets the part!.
