Peer pressure at 3 years old!

Hi mums!

Can I have a bit of advice please on a problem I wasn't expecting to encounter until my daughter was at least at school.

She's just turned three and she's a lovely little girl who loves dolls, teddies, Cbeebies etc.

The problem is she has a few friends who are a year older than her and they have already started playing with Bratz, Nintendos and make-up. I overheard one telling her the other day that Balamory was for babies!

Apart from not being able to afford toys like this, I really want to keep her a toddler for a while longer and feel she has plenty of time for computer games and nail varnish later on.

But I can already see peer pressure kicking in as she now thinks Santa bringing her a pram for Christmas will be too babyish.

Any advice please?? Thanks!

You don't have to give into peer pressure-ignore it.

Don't even enter into discussion-just look slightly surprised and say 'nail varnish is for big girls'.

Tell her my 9 year old still watches Cbeebies!!
