So these growth spurts, how long do they last?

DD2 currently going through a 6 week growth spurt which involves near constant feeding or just clingy behaviour, won't sleep except on me.

Can anyone tell me how long these periods last?

Hello Bump. No answer except to say DS is doing this right now (at 6 weeks and 4 days). Last couple of days have been a bloody nightmare - he's very screamy, wants to feed constantly and won't nap during day except on me. So hoping it won't last long!

I found the 6 week growth spurt lasted about a week. TBH though DD still had days of constant feeding and clingyness until about 14 weeks.

It is only in the last few weeks (she is now 17 weeks) that she has really started to have predictable gaps between her feeds and is happy to be put down to play or nap.

I found that it's best not to worry too much about when spurts are supposed to start and stop. DD hardly ever did hers when she was supposed to and they always seemed to last longer than 2-3 days (which is how long all the books say they should last)

My 2 both had very long 6 week growth spurts 7-10 days. I had to give into co-sleeping to get through it, as they wouldn't go to sleep unless lay on me?!! Just take one day at a time and get as much rest as you can, it will soon be over! Good luck
