My son (6 month old) has ears which stick out. Not horrendous but not flat to his head. It has been like this since he was born. They stick out such that when he lies facing me to breastfeed with the side of his head on the nursing pillow I have to check that the ear is not stuck "forwards" if you see what i mean rather than flat to his head and therefore making the problem worse. My husband noticed this when he was born and researched ear buddies but found they cost £50 (!!!) and I said no, partly because i was hopeful that as his head gets bigger he might "grow" into them and they will look more in proportion. They do now look a little more in proportion but i am now getting worried that we should have done the ear buddies thing at birth especially since the site says the earlier you do it the more effective it is.
So here is the question - anyone tried ear buddies, do they work, do you think they would work for a 6 month old or is it too late, is there only one sort you can buy (the £50 odd ones or are there cheaper ones)?
thanks for any help out there
