How to keep 6mo safe and amused for ten minutes?

My DD used to be easy peasy to keep safe/happy just for ten minutes while I had a shower - when tiny she came in bathroom with me in bouncy chair, then recently have been leaving her sat up playing surrounded by pillows in next room.
However, she is now determined to move around the room by hook or by crook and I don't have a playpen to contain her (not enough room). I could put her in her travel cot with toys but am nervous of creating an association with play when it's her bed!
If I strap her in bouncy chair she complains. I am sat here in my pjs as my mum is visiting so will get showered when she arrives. Any thoughts?

Stick her in her cot? I do that with DS - he doesn't associate it with play when it's bed time as he has a bedtime routine when it's time to sleep. (If that makes sense!!)

DS used to play in his cot whilst I showered. The problem is now that he is in a bed...

Love OP's nn!

Can you not baby proof the bathroom? I did this for the first.

We use our travel cot as a playpen and our dd (nearly 9 months) has slept in it no problem when we've been away.

I usually stick her in her bouncy chair in the bathroom while I have a shower tho as she tends to grouch if left alone.

Thanks all, will stick her in the cot tomorrow. When I get a "real" cot for her she will be having travel cot downstairs as dedicated baby jail playpen, but need OH to get his finger out in this regard.
That playpen looks great but we just don't have the room. The bathroom is so tiny I can't babyproof it, she would literally hit her head off a bit of bathroom suite or the radiator if I laid her on the floor :o

Will post in Chat in case you don't check back here.
