Fuzzi bunz help please

I bought some fuzzi bunz last week and originally wanted to stuff with terries or prefolds but have decided they are too bulky. I have now ordered the fuzzi bunz inserts and just wondered, when they arrive, do I have to prewash them like a normal nappy or can they be used right away. Also, how many inserts do you put inside and how long do they last? TIA

i have used them straight away and they've been fine

we used to only use one insert, but now ds is weeing more we use either an insert and a booster, or 2 inserts.
nighttime calls for 2 inserts and a booster!

change every 3 hours ish

I heard microterry only needs one wash to get factory dust off (as it were) then they work fine. I use two for DS who's 20 mths or a mix of MOE and hemp (Joey bunz/ ella's house or happy heiny).

The Happy Heiny stuffins are my favourites, they never seem to leak

OK they have arrived and have had one wash and are on the line .

I am getting impatient as I want to try them out! (well, not me but ds obviously!). They really are so much slimmer than prefolds etc, quite glad I got them now.

Thanks all .
