Your baby's favourite toy from 9 - 12 months?

Hi there. I was just wondering what toy or activity was most popular for babies between 9 and 12 months. We've just got a jumperoo which my 8 month old twins love and we also have the v tech walker which is a big hit. I don't want to spend too much on xmas presents but wondered what might be a good investment. Thanks for sharing x

I got a music/sound box from Boots for 15 quid for my daughter's 1st birthday - lots of different sounds and noises and can be carried about (although it's quite big). Has fascinated both DDs (other 18 months older) for yonks! Can't find a link to it anymore, but something like that was genuinely one of th best presents they received...

He liked pushing a wee buggy about or pushing his brick holder. Also, balls! He would have been over the moon with a new bouncy ball. Or a balloon!

I've heard a lot of people say that babies that age love stacking cups (cheap I know). Mine isn't quite there yet so will find out..

thanks ladies. I went with all your suggestions and the babies have had a fab christmas with some great (and cheap) new toys. Hope you all had lovely christmases x

DS is almost 11 months and also LOVED his jumparoo and walker. Now he likes balls (Mothercare do ones that make a boing noise), stacking cups, baloons, the ELC drum and bath toys. That said, his fave toy is the plug from the shower and an empty cardboard wrapping paper roll!!

We bought all manner of fancy-dan educational all singy all dancy presents for DD's first Christmas (she is 10mo). What did she love best? Banging a wooden spoon against the Quality Street tin... Kids eh.

Dance tower

My 2 dds love this and will happily play together for ages. They are 2.5 years and 11mo.

dd (8.5months so nearly there) just got a Vtech muscial activty table from Santa and has been glued to it since Xmas morning.
