Which baby wipes do you use? Huggies pure have appalling perforations and I declare them too wasteful and expensive to use!!!

I like the actual wipes as they're not full of lotion but you can't take out less than 3 or 4 at a time and the perforations are shocking.

Can anyone recommend a new brand - preferably without baby lotion in :)

Thanks

Lidl unscented.

Hate the Huggies wipes, my nail goes through them before I've even got them out of the packet!

Bottle of water and kitchen roll or loo roll for poo, damp flannel for wee and finishing after wet loo roll

Saved a fortune!

I love Huggies wipes, never use anything else. The worst on the market have got to be Johnsons.

Normally use Tesco own brand with the plastic lid, but just discovered their Value ones and for 17p a packet they're fab.
Also Sainsbury do 100 nappy sacks for 9p!!!

I totally agree with the Sainsbury,s wipes. They are indeed the only ones without parabens. Even the biodegradable ones have them.

thousandDenierStocking · 03/12/2011 13:05

I'm still chortling at the baby wipe Yoda Grin

pampers sensitive here too. own brand are always too small.

Tinselitis · 03/12/2011 13:06

Tesco own brand fragrance free. Best wipes I have ever used and fairly cheap, too.

Tonksforthememories · 03/12/2011 13:08

Naturals wipes are everything free and fab, and we use waitrose own unscented. I also found they were practially the only ones that didn't make DS's ezcema flare up.

If it stings my eyes when taking off makeup, i don't use it on DS.

asda 4 for £3, also asda nappies. Could not afford anything more expensive to catch poo in.

JennyPiccolo · 03/12/2011 13:13

are tesco value nappies alright?

I don't like Huggies, far too dry.

Also hate the Huggies ones, they are too soggy and fall apart in your hands

(I love MN Grin)

hifi · 03/12/2011 13:43

tesco unscented. i always put my fingers thru huggies.

hardboiledpossum · 03/12/2011 17:52

simple baby wipes

Lozza70 · 03/12/2011 18:19

Sainsbury's Little Ones here. Paraben free and some others have mentioned as good and big for an own brand wipe, some are on the titchy side!

notasausage · 03/12/2011 18:28

Tesco's own mainly for the plastic lid as it makes them easier to get out of the packet. Thought the Huggies ones were terrible for ripping. Pampers sensitive were good too.

Ponders · 03/12/2011 18:49

I have some Huggies Pure & some Aldi Sensitive & I just did an experiment - got one of each out, felt, smelt & pulled (no babies here - we just use them for general cleansing)

Huggies feel nicer & are thicker
neither smells much but Huggies slightly nicer
Huggies tear much sooner - I got the Aldi one stretched to about a foot long & it still didn't tear
Aldi have 80 wipes & a proper clicky lid; Huggies have 64 & just a sticky plastic film

for those who don't like being left with a puddle in the bottom - keep the package upside down Smile (it means the top layer stays damp too)

Wittsend13 · 04/12/2011 02:46

I love Johnsons wipes they smell lovely. Huggies I found rubbish and they tear when pulling out. Simple are nice but too moist.

flamegirl77 · 04/12/2011 04:44

Cheeky wipes all the way!

HughBastard · 04/12/2011 05:00

I never got on with any baby wipes. Silly fiddly thin slimy little things. I used cotton wool and water from the first poo to the last, not out of desire to save the planet or impress my lentil weaving compatriots particularly. I just got more poo off the bottom and less on my hands that way, and it always seemed cleaner to me, plus was cheaper, plus absolutely no nappy rashes. Am in a minority though.

GwendolineMaryLacedwithBrandy · 04/12/2011 05:52

Pampers at the moment but only because I have 83 packs in the baby bedroom, Thank you Asda :)

SkiBumMum · 04/12/2011 06:19

I love Clearly herbal's wipes. They are made from bamboo so a little bit greener. Infused with tea tree etc so make nappy rash a dim memory from pampers days. I Buy them in big box from kiddicare and they work out really cheap too Grin

kefybaby · 04/12/2011 06:27

I use aldi sensitive. Good value for money.

Akiram · 04/12/2011 06:30

Morrisons own brand wetwipes. 23p a packet and they are fab.

trixie123 · 04/12/2011 11:08

its like the three bears isn't it
these wipes are too wet\these wipes are too dry\ these wipes are JUST RIGHT Smile weird how some people's favourites are others' worst ones. We tend to go for whatever is on offer as with a toddler and a baby we get through so many. Very irritating when you can't seperate them with one hand and agree that Johnsons are generally too wet
